I have studied photography and had it as a life passion for 30 years, including professional work in photo journalism and portraiture, as well as freelance work in shooting landscapes. I learned photography from the ground up since my father was a professional photographer with a full photo lab and studio lighting set-up in our home. I owned my first camera at about age 6, and was doing my own B&W and color printing by the time I was a teenager. In my late teens, I was invited to study at a workshop in Yosemite with the legendary master Ansel Adams. As an adult, I've expanded my knowledge by shooting with some highly respected, nationally recognized names in portrait, fashion, and glamour imagery.

Today, my work has gravitated in the direction of shooting portraits, fashion & artistic glamour images at a myriad of visually intriguing sites that add to the impact of an image, rather than shoot in a contrived studio environment. My services are available on a commissioned fee basis, although I sometimes work with models on a "trade" basis when our respective portfolios can be enhanced through collaboration.
